Our bat removal process
Inspection- We locate active bat entry points and identify where bats are roosting.
Exclusion- We install one-way bat exclusion devices that allow bats to leave but prevent them from re-entering. Every potential point of entry is fully sealed, except for entry points with eviction devices.
Final Exclusion- After a minimum 2 week period, exclusion devices are removed from the points of entry and gap where device was installed will be fully sealed. We also do a brief re-inspection of the roof line to make sure no other potential entry points have been missed.
Bat FAQs
How much does bat removal cost?
1
The cost of bat removal depends on the size of the colony, the number of entry points, the height and complexity of the structure, and whether cleanup or repairs are needed. Every situation is different, so we recommend a professional inspection to determine the most effective exclusion plan and provide an accurate estimate.
Are bats dangerous?
2
Bats play an extremely important role in our environment by helping control insect populations, which is why they are protected both state and federal. However, bats living inside homes can create health concerns due to accumulated guano (droppings) and the potential risk of disease exposure. Professional removal is recommended whenever bats are found inside a structure.
can bats damage my home?
3
Yes. Bats droppings and urine can accumulate in attics and wall voids, leading to staining, odors, and contamination of insulation. large colonies can cause significant cleanup and restoration costs if left untreated.
How do bats get into houses?
4
Bats can enter through surprisingly small openings, often as small as 3/8 of an inch. Common entry points include roof intersections, ridge vents, soffits, fascia gaps, chimney areas, and damaged siding. During an inspection, we identify and quote to seal potential entry points to prevent future infestations.
